I find myself happiest when I’m surrounded by bright colours and piles of arts and crafts, and I want to share my secret to a happy life with you. And so my mission is simple: bring more colour and joy to the world! I mean, what can be better than lots of besties to laugh and craft with? Nothing!
Honestly, crocheting is my everything. It’s my love language, my personality, my passion, and my purpose. I started Madefully Crochet just to share my crochet patterns with the world and maybe inspire a few fellow makers along the way. However, I quickly realised that so many people in the community are struggling to keep up with their favourite hobby. Whether it’s arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, loss of mobility, or trouble counting stitches… I knew there must be something we can do about it. Would I even be able to crochet in 5 years if my wrist felt like it was about to break at 25?!
And so the Hook Helper was born! Through lots of testing, prototyping, and many frustrated days brainstorming, I discovered my love for making ergonomic and otherwise accessible tools for the crochet community. Now I get to wake up and feel like I’ve actually done something to make an impact—I’ve helped people reunite with their favourite craft! Reading all the wonderful feedback is what inspires me to keep creating and innovating, trying to make crocheting as accessible for as many people as possible.
